SIG Supply 76,000 Tons Of Cement In Sidan Dam Project

PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) has supplied 76 thousand tons of cement building materials for the construction of the National Strategic Project (PSN) of Sidan Dam in Bali.

This is GIS' contribution to building dams that will maintain the safety of clean water supplies for the millions of people of Denpasar and its surroundings.

SIG Corporate Secretary Vita Mahreyni said, Sidan Dam is an important infrastructure that provides many benefits in people's social lives, as well as supports economic growth and environmental conservation actions.

"SIG is proud to be able to continue to contribute to national development such as the Sidan Dam which has a strategic role to support the realization of water self-sufficiency and energy which is part of Asta Cita Presiden Prabowo Subianto," said Vita quoting Antara.

"This is also in line with the direction of the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir so that SOEs contribute to infrastructure development which has a positive impact on economic growth and improving people's welfare," he added.

The Sidan Dam, which is located in Badung, Gianyar and Bangli Regencies, is a zonal type dam with an asphalt core that is 197 meters long and 68 meters high with water sources coming from the Ayung River.

The 3,82 million m3 capacity dam will provide 1,750 liters of raw water per second for four areas in Bali, including Denpasar, Badung, Gianyar, to Tabanan, with an estimated total beneficiary of 1.3 million people.

In addition to providing raw water, the Sidan Dam will also function as a Micro Hydro Power Plant (PLTMh) with a capacity of 0.65 MW, and has the potential for floating PLTS to float 20 percent of the inundation area with a capacity of up to 8 MW.

The Sidan Dam is also equipped with a deflection tunnel that functions as a flood control.

Vita pun menegaskan produk semen dari SIG memiliki keunggulan yang sudah terbukti pada sejumlah proyek strategis nasional.

These advantages include being easily applied and having high mechanical power, thus facilitating the construction work process with strong concrete final results.

Semen SIG is also categorized as green cement with an emission rate of up to 38 percent lower than conventional cement, as well as a high domestic component level (TKDN) of 96.95 percent.
