SPPN Rejects Misleading And Disturbing Issues Between The Community About Pertamina

JAKARTA The Pertamina Patra Niaga (SPPN) Workers Union expressed support for the law enforcement process carried out by the Attorney General's Office and other law enforcement officials regarding alleged irregularities in oil governance at Pertamina Group.

Chairman of the SPPN Ahmad Efendi said that the principle of presumption of innocence must be upheld until a legal decision has permanent force and invites all parties to remain wise in responding to the many information that develops in the community.

"We respect and support the legal process that is fair, transparent, and not selective. At the same time, we invite all parties to remain wise in responding to developing information so that it is not provoked by issues that have not been verified," Ahmad said in a statement to the media, Wednesday, March 12.

He added, as part of the national energy ecosystem, SPPN ensures that all PT Pertamina Patra Niaga workers continue to carry out their duties professionally in order to maintain the sustainability of energy distribution that is of the right quality for the entire community.

The company's operations, he said, also continue to run optimally to ensure that the national energy supply is not disrupted in the midst of the ongoing legal process.

SPPN also affirms its commitment to supporting the governance of companies based on the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG). The integrity and professionalism of workers are the main pillars in ensuring the sustainability and credibility of the national energy industry.

Therefore, any practice that is against business ethics, including corruption, must be prevented and fought systematically.

"We believe that transparency and accountability are the main keys in creating a clean and professional work environment. SPPN fully supports the management policies of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga in applying zero tolerance principles to corruption and strengthening the internal control and compliance system," added Ahmad Efendi.

In carrying out its role, SPPN is committed to collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure the implementation of better corporate governance.
