Gas Station Entrepreneur Curhat Omzet Pertamax Down To 50 Percent Due To Alleged Oplosan Fuel

Pertamina Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU) entrepreneurs complained that the decline in Pertamax fuel turnover reached 30 to 50 percent of normal sales due to news of the alleged Pertalite type of fuel supply (RON 90) to Pertamax (RON 92) carried out by the boss of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga in the corruption case of oil management.

DPC National Oil and Gas Entrepreneurship Association (Hiswana Migas) Syarif Hidayat said he often received complaints from gas station owners which are located close to private gas stations.

"Their Pertamax Omzet is down. It's around 30 to 50 percent," he said when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, March 12.

Syarif said that the entrepreneur who complained about the decline in turnover averaged the location of the gas station adjacent to the location of the foreign private gas station.

"The complaints came from gas station entrepreneurs, especially those adjacent to foreign gas stations," he continued.

Not only Pertamax, he said this decline also occurred in Pertalite type fuel. He admitted that he had never recorded the exact number of affected Pertamina gas stations, but he ensured that the decline in sales turnover occurred at gas stations in areas that had competitors.

"Maybe this decrease was also partly caused because it was in the month of Ramadan too. Because Pertalite has also experienced a slight decline," he continued.

Syarif also said that the condition of the decline in sales turnover had been conveyed to the government and Pertamina as a business entity providing Pertalite and Pertamax fuel.

"Both Pertamina and the Government have been informed about this," he added.

On the same occasion, Syarif asked the government to help convince the public that Pertamina's Pertamax product, which includes the value of the RON 92 octane, is a good product and is in accordance with the specifications set by the government.

"That Pertamina is an oil company owned by the Indonesian nation, the community needs to support efforts that lead to the improvement of the company. If it is not the people who support Pertamina, who else will be," he said.
