Prabowo Forms A Gold Bank, Ready To Be Inaugurated February 26

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto said he would form a gold bank.

He said this gold bank was the first time in Indonesia.

This was conveyed by Prabowo in a press conference related to Government Regulation (PP) regarding foreign exchange results from the export of Indonesian natural resources at the State Palace, Central Jakarta.

He said, so far gold in Indonesia does not have a shelter after being mined.

"We will form a gold bank. So, so far we don't have a bank for our gold, not in Indonesia," Prabowo said, Monday, February 17.

He said, so far the gold mined in Indonesia is not all stored domestically. According to Prabowo, a lot of gold flows abroad.

"So, we mined a lot of gold and flowed abroad," he said.

According to Prabowo, the gold bank will accommodate gold mining products before being exported abroad.

The inauguration of the gold bank will take place on February 26.

"We want to now have a special bank for gold in Indonesia, God willing, we will inaugurate it on February 26. I think this is the first time, yes, in our Republic," he said.
