Head Of OIKN Calls Budget Efficiency Not Disturbing IKN Infrastructure

JAKARTA - The policy of budget efficiency in accordance with Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 1 of 2025 does not interfere with the infrastructure development of the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN).

"The budget efficiency has no effect, the development of the City of the Archipelago continues to enter phase two of 2025-2028," said Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono quoting Antara.

The former Minister of PUPR ensured that the infrastructure for the capital city of Indonesia had been approved by the central government, running using the state budget (APBN) of approximately IDR 48.8 trillion, as well as support for financing schemes other than the state budget.

Phase two includes the construction of legislative and judicial offices, along with the plan of the capital city of Indonesia as the capital of politics in 2028.

Phase two development is also filled with banking offices and other investment projects, in addition to the legislative and judicial offices that will begin construction in April 2025.

"OIKN has planned to build infrastructure in investment areas so that they can be built immediately," he explained.

Regarding general infrastructure such as roads, drinking water, as well as integrated utility network facilities (SJUT) and multi-utilities tunnels (MUT), he continued, are still in the auction stage.

"Infrastructure development is carried out no later than the holiday, the target is completed in 2026, so 2026 changes can be seen, there are new buildings and areas," he added.

"All OIKN employees are also confirmed to start having full offices in the city of Nusantara in March 2025, and OIKN activities will be carried out in the capital city of Indonesia," said Basuki Hadimuljono.
