BSI Gandeng BPJPH Encourages Acceleration Of Halal Certification Of The Food And Beverage Industry

JAKARTA PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) and the Halal Product Guarantee Administration Agency (BPJPH) are working together to encourage the acceleration of halal certification for MSME players and beverage food industry entrepreneurs.

Director of Retail Banking BSI Harry Gusti Utama said, through this collaboration, the company also facilitated 10,000 halal declare certifications for business actors.

This collaboration is BSI's commitment to encourage the world's halal center of Indonesia. One of them is increasing the capacity and quality of MSMEs through halal certification," said Harry, Friday, February 14.

At BSI, he said, the halal industry experienced rapid growth. Until December 2024, halal sector financing reached IDR 23.69 trillion, growing 18.87 percent year on year (yoy).

Herry continued, BSI is continuously empowering the national halal industry in the food and beverage sector. Because this sector has great potential and Indonesia has abundant natural resources. The halal food and beverage industry sector will continue to be optimized by the company to become one of the main catalysts for national economic development in the future.

"Halal is the main thing. If (the products that are required) are all halal (certified), it will provide benefits and blessings. For this reason, with this collaboration, the hope will be a prefix for MSMEs to be able to survive and compete. Because currently the halal industry demands that every MSME be halal standard," said Head of the Halal Product Guarantee Administration Agency (BPJPH) Ahmad Haikal Hasan.
