Reasons For Perumnas Gusur Pulogebang Resident's House In East Jakarta: Program 3 Million Houses

JAKARTA - Perumnas Public Company (Perum) has opened its voice regarding the eviction of a number of residents living in RT 05/08, Jalan Dr. Sumarno, Pulo Gebang Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta, today.

Director of Risk Management and Legal Perum Perumnas Nixon Sitorus said the land that is the location of the residential area belongs to Perumnas and will be used as a proper residence to support the 3 Million Houses program.

Nixon said the implementation of land clearing was carried out after Perum Perumnas obtained permanent legal force and based on the Determination of the Chairman of the East Jakarta District Court Number: No. 35/2022 Ex/PN.Jkt.Tim Jo No.369/Pdt.G/2019/PN.Jkt.Tim Jo No.237/PDT/2021/PT.DKI Jo No.1784 K/PDT/2022 dated January 20, 2025.

"This step is part of an effort to accelerate clear and clean land that has gone through legal and administrative processes in accordance with applicable regulations," Nixon said in a written statement received by VOI, Wednesday, February 12.

According to Nixon, the area of 38,000 square meters which is part of the Management Rights Certificate Number 2/Pulogebang dated February 5, 1997, on behalf of Perum Perumnas, was originally controlled by a number of residents who claimed the land. Thus, Perumnas filed a civil lawsuit in court.

Nixon claims that the eviction process has involved many aspects, including the interests of the community.

"Perumnas continues to coordinate with stakeholders to ensure that each stage is carried out transparently as directed by the Ministry of SOEs, the Ministry of PKP and the Ministry of ATR/BPN," he said.

He assessed that Perumnas always adheres to good governance principles and prioritizes constructive communication with related parties to ensure the process runs in an orderly and regulatory manner.

"Perumnas is committed to continuing to support the provision of quality housing for the community and creating decent and affordable residential areas," he added.

Previously, an ASN East Jakarta City Government became one of the victims affected by evictions in residential areas of RT 05/08, Jalan Dr. Sumarno, Pulo Gebang Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta.

The man named Maman (54) is also a victim of a house purchase fraud, which turns out to be a land owned by Perumnas.

Maman said that he bought a house building worth Rp. 150 million, which has finally been demolished by the East Jakarta District Court.

He admitted that he had lived on the land for three years. At that time, he bought a building from one of the people who claimed to be the heirs.

"Yes, obviously he was lied to, cheated again, this is twice. Because I want to be visited by the beko, yes, please go to the beko. But, don't try to damage my house," he said.

Furthermore, Maman also admitted that he had been asked to mediate with Perumnas, but refused because only some residents were summoned.

"There are 40 residents, but only four are called. So, not all residents come," he explained.
