JAKARTA - PT Asuransi Jiwa IFG (IFG Life) revealed that it has paid Rp284.41 billion for the benefits of retired PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (Pupuk Kaltim) since the transfer of dependents in the context of restructuring PT Asuransi Jiwasraya.

The President Director of IFG Life, Budi Tampubolon, explained that the payment process for benefits to retired East Kalimantan Pupun has been carried out since IFG Life received a transition from Jiwasraya in 2022.

"From 2022 to the end of 2024 we have paid specifically for this retired Pupuk Kaltim as much as Rp. 284.41 billion," Budi said in a meeting with Commission VI DPR RI, Jakarta, Thursday, February 6.

Budi said that there were two categories of mental austic policies that were transferred, namely policies with an escalation benefit of 2 percent every year and a policy with fixed benefits.

The total dependents of PKT retirees in IFG Life are 1,432 people.

"Every month when transferred, the monthly benefits to 1,027 participants amounted to Rp5.83 billion and the current position is due to an increase of 2 percent every year," he said.

"So even though the number of participants is low, the monthly benefits we pay to 990 participants have increased slightly to Rp5.89 billion every month and we continue to pay," he continued.

Then, continued Budi, the second was policy number 2816 with fixed benefits for 444 participants. Currently, IFG Life bears 442 people as of 2025 and the monthly value of the benefits paid from Rp. 2.68 billion to Rp. 2.64 billion.

"Because there are two participants who have not participated in this program," he explained.

Budi said that in total, in January 2025, IFG Life had already paid Rp. 8.53 billion for retired East Kalimantan fertilizers which were diverted from Jiwasraya.

"Since we received the assignment to serve the retired mothers of Pupuk Kaltim, until today's position is specifically for retired East Kalimantan Pupuk who are in us (IFG Life), we have paid the pension benefits," he said.
