Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said the government would also maintain volatile food inflation in the range of 3 percent to 5 percent which was monitored weekly by related teams.
"So the volatile food figures are currently being guarded weekly by the team, including PPID under the Minister of Home Affairs, so this is an intervention from the central and regional governments so that volatile food can be maintained," he said at a press conference, Friday, January 31.
According to Airlangga, the government will also strengthen central and regional coordination to ensure food price affordability, as well as maintain transportation rates during national religious holidays such as during the 2025 Eid holiday season.
Airlangga added that the government will also increase food productivity, as well as maintain supply availability and smooth distribution between regions.
"Maintaining the smooth distribution of food between regions, especially surplus areas, towards deficit areas," he said.
