Tansh Sets New Record: 24,350 Passengers In A Day

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) set a new record for the daily number of passengers on the HIGH Speed Train with 24,350 passengers in one day on Monday 27 January. This figure surpassed the previous record on July 5, 2024, which recorded 24,132 passengers.

General Manager of KCIC Corporate Secretary, Eva Chairunisa, stated that this new record reflects the public's high enthusiasm for fast train services

"The increase in the number of passengers not only shows the high enthusiasm of the community, but also encourages us to continue to improve services to users," Eva said in her statement, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 28.

KCIC noted that passengers on Monday (27/1/2025) came from various main stations, with details of Halim Station as many as 12,272 passengers, Padalarang Station 9,167 passengers, Tegalluar Summarecon Station 2,555 passengers, and Karawang Station: 356 passengers.

According to Eva, the momentum of the long holiday is one of the main factors in increasing the number of passengers. During the period from January 24 to 29, 2025, the total ticket sold reached 115,000. For today alone, 15,000 tickets have been sold until morning, and this number is expected to continue to increase until the last departure tonight.

The majority of passengers today and tomorrow come from Bandung to Jakarta. "Seeing the high public interest during the long holiday, we are ready to welcome backflow with the best service. KCIC will continue to prioritize travel safety and provide the best experience forPORT passengers," said Eva.
