Long-distance KAI Occupancy Reaches 117 Percent On January 25, 2025

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) stated that long-distance rail occupancy (KA) of Isra Miraj and Chinese New Year long holiday transportation on January 25, 2025 reached 117 percent.

"The enthusiasm of the community is very high, on January 25, 2025, as many as 152,198 tickets have been sold for departure, reaching an occupancy of 117 percent of the capacity provided, namely 130,342 seats," KAI Vice President Public Relations Anne Purba quoted Antara.

He conveyed that the figure was below the ticket purchase the previous day. On January 24, 2025, ticket sales reached 156,198 tickets or 120 percent of the available capacity.

Anne explained that the occupancy rate that exceeded 100 percent occurred due to dynamic passengers, namely those who went up and down at various stations along the route.

In order to welcome the long holidays of Isra Miraj and Chinese New Year, KAI presents a special travel experience by providing 1,314,489 seats for long-distance trains.

According to him, the holiday period which runs from January 24 to February 3, 2025 is an opportunity for people to travel comfortably and economically by train.

To accommodate customer needs, KAI also operates additional trains with popular routes, namely the Argo Parahyangan Additional Train (7045B) Bandung-Gambir relation; Argo Parahyangan Additional Train (7046A) Gambir-Bandung relation; KA Sembrani Supplementary (7009A) Surabaya Pasar Turi-Gambir relation; KA Sembrani Supplement (7010A) Gambir-Surabaya Pasar Turi relation.
