KSSK Reveals That The Stability Of The Indonesian Financial System In The Fourth Quarter Of 2024 Is Still Maintained

JAKARTA - The Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK) stated that Indonesia's financial system stability in the fourth quarter of 2024 was still maintained amidst global uncertainty.

This is based on the results of the KSSK Coordination Meeting conducted by the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu), Bank Indonesia (BI), the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS).

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati revealed that the Stability of the Financial System (SSK) in the fourth quarter of 2024 was still in a well-maintained condition amid the divergence of world economic growth and increasing global economic uncertainty.

"Financial system stability for the fourth quarter of 2024, in our opinion, the SSK Committee is maintained amid the divergence of world economic growth," he said at a press conference on the results of the 2025 KSSK Periodic Meeting, Friday, January 24.

Sri Mulyani explained that the divergence of world economic growth occurred because in various countries there were still strong economic growth such as the United States (US), while the economic growth of Europe and China was still stagnant in the midst of an increasing global financial market.

Sri Mulyani is optimistic that in the first quarter of 2025, economic conditions and financial markets will be maintained, but they will continue to be aware of the various challenges and risks that will continue to occur.

In addition, Sri Mulyani admitted that she would continue to strengthen coordination and vigilance so that she could mitigate the potential impact of the propagation of risk factors from external or global to the Indonesian economy or the domestic financial stability system.

"We are the four Ministers of Finance, Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI), Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) in the KSSK periodic meeting which was first held last 2025 which was held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, agreed to continue to strengthen vigilance and strengthen coordination of synergies between institutions," he said.
