Considered Quite Complex, Deputy Minister Of Finance Thomas Says Danantara Hasn't Been Launched This Month

JAKARTA - The Anagata Nusantara Power Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) will certainly not be launched in January 2025.

"Not yet, (The aerospace) has not been launched this January," said Deputy Minister of Finance Thomas Djiwandono quoting Antara.

He said the establishment of the Danantara aims to optimize the assets of state-owned enterprises (BUMN) commercially. Meanwhile, the process, according to him, is quite complex.

Therefore, there needs to be careful preparation before officially launching the Danantara.

"We have to find a way to be able to push stronger. Not only assets, but also in terms of finance," he said.

Previously, the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Roeslani in a joint statement with the Danantara BPI officials after being received by President Prabowo Subianto at the Jakarta Presidential Palace, Monday (25/11/2024), conveyed that the President gave his direction so that the Danantara-related process was carried out in a transparent, open manner, followed existing regulations, and prioritized governance.

At that time, Rosan had only returned to accompany the President on visits to several countries. According to him, several countries have also provided support and input, so they are ready to provide assistance related to the formation of the Danantara.

"Hopefully this can be a strength from all of us, which we may not have explored optimally so far. And it was also conveyed earlier, most importantly the people, the management is chosen which is good and right and must be professional. That is also a directive from him (President), and in the future we will report the process gradually to him," he explained.

Furthermore, according to Rosan, during the meeting President Prabowo also emphasized the four main priorities of the government, namely downstreaming, food security, energy security, and Danantara.

Rosan and BPI Danantara as assistants to the President are ready to carry out the President's duties and mandates.

Meanwhile, Head of BPI Danantara Muliaman Darmansyah Hadad said regulations related to BPI Danantara would be regulated through government regulations (PP), and waiting for President Prabowo to sign.

Meanwhile, regarding the launch of BPI Danantara, Muliaman said that he was still looking forward to President Prabowo's free time.

"He only advised as soon as possible, with high caution. I think that's all," said Muliaman.
