BSI: 185 Thousand Customers Who Are Hajj Candidates Ready To Depart This Year

PT Bank Syariah Indonesia TBK (BSI) reported that 185,000 prospective pilgrims who are BSI customers will depart for the 1446 Hijri Hajj season.

"This year, there are 185 thousand prospective pilgrims who are BSI customers and will go to the Holy Land, or around 83.7 percent of the total hajj quota received by the government, namely 221,000 people," said BSI Sales & Distribution Director Anton Sukarna in an official statement in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Saturday 11 January.

Through the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag), the first phase of the payment of Hajj (BPIH) costs has been announced starting on January 21-21 February 2025.

The Ministry of Religion, the government, and the House of Representatives (DPR) have also agreed on the cost of organizing the Hajj (BPIH) 1446 H/2025 AD to Rp89.41 million, where the BPIH costs paid by customers amounted to Rp55.43 million and the remaining benefit value was Rp33.97 million.

Following the announcement, it was stated that it had prepared infrastructure and services for pilgrims to pay off BPIH.

The congregation can make repayments through all BSI branch offices and BYOND by BSI superapps.

BSI has prepared several e-channel services, including BYOND by BSI, BSI Net and BSI Agents. Pilgrims who register via BSI will receive manasik services at urban and district embarkation, major debit card facilities with free cash withdrawals three times per month in Saudi Arabia, cashback shopping at merchants in Saudi Arabia with a minimum of IDR 10 million shopping, to Riyal money exchange services at Hajj embarkation," said Anton.

It is said that his party will prepare optimal Hajj services for prospective BSI pilgrims who depart this year, starting from departure to returning to their homeland.

Customers can pay BPIH fees through BYOND by BSI through steps:

2. Login

3. Click Portfolio then select Hajj Savings

4. Select the Hajj Repayment Menu

5. Enter the No portion to be paid off

6. Confirm Data, if appropriate click Confirmation

7. Enter the BYOND pin

8. Successful Transaction, No Porsi has been paid off

9. Customers receive receivables for payment of Hajj

Every year, the average growth in the number of customers saving BSI Hajj Savings is around 15 percent. Currently, the number of BSI Hajj Savings customers reaches 5.5 million people due to an increase in public confidence in BSI, as evidenced by the BSI Hajj Savings market reaching 64 percent nationally.

The increase in BSI Hajj Savings was also driven by ease of service through BSI e-channel, including account opening, Hajj portion deposits and payment through BYOND by BSI, and the number of branches of more than 1,000 outlets throughout Indonesia.

"BSI is also present to provide solutions with Hajj and payment savings deposit facilities through BSI Agents, which amount to more than 100 thousand agent partners throughout Indonesia. This service is to provide convenience for Hajj services in remote areas and expand service access to rural communities," he said.
