Bibit.id Becomes The Only SBN Distribution Partner In The Fintech Category Who Receives The Ministry Of Finance Award In 2024

JAKARTA - The leading digital investment application in Indonesia, Bibit.id, made a fairly proud achievement at the end of 2024. Bibit became the only partner of the Government Securities Distribution (SBN) for the fintech category which received an award from the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, namely the Best Retail State Securities (SUN) Distribution in 2024, the Financial Technology Category and Trade Organizers through Electronic Systems and the Best Retail State Sharia Securities (SBSN) Distribution in 2024, Financial Technology Category.

The two awards were handed over directly by Suminto as Director General of Financing and Risk Management of the Indonesian Ministry of Finance to Bibit representatives at the Investor Meeting held in Jakarta.

"This award confirms our consistency and commitment in marketing SBN and SBSN to the people of Indonesia. Thank you for the appreciation that the Ministry of Finance has given us. In the future, we will continue to innovate, carry out various educational efforts, and focus on inviting the public to build the country through investment in SBN and SBSN," said Hilmawan Kusumajaya as Director of Bibit, in his statement, Wednesday, December 11.

Bibit's success is the only fintech category distribution partner to get an award from the Ministry of Finance to repeat the success achieved last year. As is known, at the end of 2023, Bibit also received four prestigious awards from the Ministry of Finance, which included the Best Retail SUN (Midis) Distribution Partners in 2022, the Best Retail SBSN Midists in 2022 and 2023 Fintech Categories as well as the Best Retail SUN Midist in the Fintech Category and Trade Organizers through the Electronic Systems in 2023.

Since being officially appointed as SBN sales Distribution Partner in early 2022, Bibit has consistently listed itself as Midist in the fintech category which posted the most sales on sales of various SBN and SBSN series, even surpassing sales from Midis bank.

Hilmawan said that the awards received in 2022, 2023, and 2024 cannot be separated from the trust given by Bibit users, who are now dominated by not only millennials and Gen Z, but also investors over 40 years of age.

"Most Bibit users are the millennial generation and Gen Z. But, what's quite fun is that we consistently see a large number of investors aged 35-50 years entrusting Bibit as their main investment platform," he said.

On the other hand, in terms of the number of investors, at the end of 2021, data from the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI) shows that there are around 61,000 SBN investors. The figure then rose to 831 thousand at the end of 2022, 1 million at the end of 2023, and as of October 2024, the figure reached 1.17 million investors.

"We are very happy that the presence of Bibit as the Midist of SBN sales has helped increase the number of SBN investors in Indonesia. We hope that by 2025 the number of investors will increase again so that together we can strengthen the domestic financial market," concluded Hilmawan.
