Pertamina Help Development Of Ecotourism In Tarakan

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan through the Tarakan Fuel Terminal to help develop South Gunung ecotourism in Tarakan, North Kalimantan.

"We hope that this program will be able to reduce the level of waste, increase awareness of the importance of protecting the environment, and move the wheels of the economy for local residents," said Kalimantan Regional Area Manager Communication and CSR Arya Yusa Dwicandra in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Monday, May 29.

Through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of Pertamina Fuel Tarakan Terminal in collaboration with the Tarakan Forestry Service (Dishut) through the Tarakan Forest Management Unit (KPH) UPTD.

Dalam rangkaian acara yang dimulai dengan menghadirkan para ahli, praktik pengadaan alat dan bahan pendukung program, monitoring selanjutnya evaluasi program yang sedang berjalan.

Meanwhile, this program targets the growth of environmental love awareness (zero waste), groups capable of independent feed, presenting continuity between fostered programs and multiplier effects as water tourism areas in the city of Tarakan.

Arya hopes that the existence of the ecotourism program can have a positive impact on the community.

Previously, North Kalimantan Governor Zainal Arifin Paliwang symbolically received assistance in the use of social forestry in the field of Sylvofishery for the Joint Forest Farmers Group (Gapoktanhut) of the Agroforestry Social Forestry Business Group (KUPS) from PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan through the Tarakan Fuel Terminal which was held at the inauguration of the South Mountain Ecotourism CSR program in Tarakan, Thursday, May 25.

"Congratulations on the completion of South Gunung Ecotourism, so that its existence can be enjoyed by all Kaltara people, especially the people of Tarakan," said Zainal.

He hopes that in the future, South Gunung Ecotourism will be more useful in all sectors so that it can improve the forest and economic ecosystem.
