Train Tickets For Lebaran Baru Homecoming Sold 36.3 Percent, There Are Still Many Left

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that long-distance train tickets during the Lebaran 2023 homecoming period have been sold as much as 36.3 percent per day. The tickets sold are for train departures in the period 12 to 3 May 2023.

VP of Public Relations Joni Martinus said the tickets that had been sold were 975,711 tickets or 36.3 percent of the total tickets provided were 2,690,637 tickets.

"The number will still increase, because sales are still ongoing," he said in a statement, Wednesday, March 22.

Joni revealed that the period before Lebaran was dominated by passengers from the West (Jakarta or Bandung) towards the East (Central Java and East Java).

"For the period after Lebaran, passengers from the East (Central Java or East Java) are dominated towards the West (Jakarta or Bandung)," he said.

Meanwhile, based on the date of departure, the favorite trains were ordered, including April 20, 2023 as much as 63 percent; April 21, 2023 as much as 60 percent and April 26, 2023 as much as 54 percent.
