1,328 PKL And Warung Owners On Belitung Island Received IDR 1.2 Million Cash Assistance

TANJUNG PANDAN - A total of 1,328 street vendors and shop owners on Belitung Island spread across Belitung and East Belitung Regencies, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, received cash assistance of IDR 1.2 million per person.

"The cash assistance is a program for Street Vendors and BT-PKLW Stall Owners or BLT PKL which was officially launched by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo," said Danrem 045/Gaya Brigadier General M Jangkung in Tanjung Pandan, reported by Antara, Wednesday, October 13.

It is said that the government is trusted by the TNI to distribute cash assistance of IDR 1.2 million per person spread across Belitung and East Belitung Regencies as an effort by the government to help maintain and improve the businesses of street vendors and stall owners affected by COVID-19.

"In addition to Belitung, the same assistance was distributed to thousands of street vendors and shop owners on Bangka Island, namely in West Bangka Regency," he explained.

"Verification for aid recipients to ensure aid remains targeted and is completely transparent so that no one is distributing it," he said.

Meanwhile, the technical distribution, he said, would be commanded by the Kodim in their respective regions.

"We are not playing games, this is according to the provisions what the government has entrusted to the TNI in the Belitung Kodim 0414 area can work well," he said.
