JAKARTA - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) has officially formed a holding for BUMN Pariwista and Supporters under PT Aviasi Wisata Indonesia (Persero). Therefore, Arya stressed, currently the Ministry of SOEs is still waiting for the completion of the restructuring of Garuda to include the state-owned airline in the Tourism and Supporting Holdings.
Arya said it was possible that Garuda would enter the aviation holding company after completing the company's debt restructuring.
"Then the holding will not be good if there is a problem. We want all the mergers in the holding to be clean. If not, don't do it. Later, it will become a burden," he said.
Furthermore, Arya said that SOEs incorporated in a holding must be in good financial condition. This is so as not to interfere with the overall financial and operational performance of the holding.
"If the financial condition is not possible, don't force it, later the holding will be poor, and other subsidiaries will be sad," he said.
In addition, Arya also indicated that PT Pembangunan Wisata Indonesia (Persero) or (ITDC) would also be included in the holding. However, he did not explain further when ITDC would be included in the holding.
"ITDC is still being prepared, hopefully it won't be long before it can be included in the tourism holding," he said.
Previously, the Ministry of SOEs inaugurated the Tourism BUMN holding and appointed PT Aviasi Wisata Indonesia (Persero) as the holding holding company.
