Together With Mahfud MD, Sri Mulyani Reported BLBI Development: 24 Called Parties Included In Five Categories

JAKARTA - Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani said that until now the Task Force (Satgas) for Handling State Claims for the Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance Fund (BLBI) has summoned 24 parties with the status of obligors and debtors.

This statement was conveyed by the Minister of Finance during a virtual press conference with the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD today in Jakarta.

"We want to convey that there have been 24 summons for BLBI obligors and debtors," he said Tuesday, September 21.

The Minister of Finance added that of the dozens of BLBI evaders summoned, the Task Force then grouped them into five categories.

“First there are those who attend and then admit that they have debts or obligations to the state and then draw up a debt settlement plan. This is the most cooperative," he said.

The second, continued the Minister of Finance, was the second group who attended (or represented) and they admitted that they had debts to the state and submitted a debt settlement plan. However, the settlement plan was deemed unrealistic and was rejected by the Task Force team.

Third, are parties who are registered to attend but they claim (claim) that they have no debt to the state.

Fourth, they were not present but delivered a letter of promise to resolve the debt problem with the state. And the fifth is the group that is not present.

"In this case, the team will continue to take action in accordance with the existing legal basis to restore the state's rights," said the Minister of Finance.

According to VOI records, the BLBI Task Force has made several summons to related parties, including Hutomo Mandala Putra alias Tommy Suharto.

Then, Setiawan Harjono, who is also known as the former second member of the DPR, Setya Novanto. Unfortunately, both of them were not mentioned on the agenda. Recently, the Task Force summoned the Bakrie duo, namely Nirwan Dermawan Bakrie and Indra Usmansyah Bakrie.

Meanwhile, the value of state losses from the bailout of Bank Indonesia 20 years ago is believed to have reached a total of Rp. 110 trillion.
