Looking For Reliable Entrepreneurs, Bank Mandiri Holds Young Independent Entrepreneurs 2021

JAKARTA – PT Bank Mandiri Tbk. again holding Mandiri Young Entrepreneurs in 2021 to encourage the birth of excellent young entrepreneurs who are creative, innovative, and can contribute actively to the Indonesian economy.

Bank Mandiri Director of Institutional Relations Rohan Hafas said this annual agenda is a form of the company's consistency in spreading entrepreneurship inspiration to the younger generation. Moreover, he mentioned that the COVID-19 pandemic had put a brake on the pace of economic growth due to restrictions on community social activities.

"This year will be the second year of organizing the Mandiri Young Entrepreneur (WMM) competition during the pandemic. We hope that this event can give birth to young entrepreneurs who are tough, creative and able to adapt in order to survive the pressures of the crisis, and even help restore the national economy,” he said at the virtual launch of WMM, Monday, September 13.

According to Rohan, this event will pit young entrepreneurial innovations in five categories, namely, trade and service industries, catering, creative, social and technology. Meanwhile, the total prize for the winner is IDR 2.5 billion with a target of 3,000 participants from 18-35 years old.

"The implementation of the entire series and technical activities of WMM 2021 will be carried out in a hybrid manner while still following the implementation of strict COVID-19 health protocols," he said.

For information, since 2007 WMM has been claimed to be one of the favorite events that has accommodated thousands of young entrepreneurs. It is recorded that 50,000 young entrepreneurs from all over Indonesia have become part of this community, both as champions, finalists, and participants.

The WMM competition selection will be carried out in each region with the initial stages of registration through accessing the website www.wirausahamandiri.co.id on 13 September - 12 October 2021. After that, administrative selection, assessment, validation and regional judging will be carried out on 12 - 23 October 2021.

"The WMM program is an opportunity to join the WMM alumni community and of course, easy access to Bank Mandiri's financial products and services to help business development," concluded Rohan.
