Good News For Investors, Sido Muncul Owned By Conglomerate Irwan Hidayat Wants To Share Bonus Shares: Check Out The Distribution Schedule

JAKARTA - PT Industri Jamu and Pharmacy Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO) provides good news for its shareholders. The producers of Tolak Angin and Kuku Bima will distribute bonus shares to their shareholders after this plan is approved at the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS).

Director of the Sido Muncul Herbal and Pharmaceutical Industry, Leonard, revealed that the bonus shares distributed came from treasury shares. The company owned by conglomerate Irwan Hidayat is the first issuer to distribute bonus shares from treasury shares.

"The distribution of bonus shares is in line with Sido Muncul's commitment to increase and maintain stock trading liquidity on the Exchange and it is hoped that the distribution of the company's shares will be more evenly distributed in the community and SIDO's shares will be more liquid and reflect the company's performance," said Leonard on the information disclosure page of the Stock Exchange. Sido Muncul held an EGMS on Friday, September 3, 2021 with the agenda of distributing bonus shares. In the EGMS chaired by the Company's Commissioner Eric Marnandus, the shareholders approved the company's proposal to distribute bonus shares at a ratio of every 131 old shares entitled to 1 bonus share.

The bonus shares that will be distributed by SIDO are 227,253,602 shares. The distribution of bonus shares will be carried out on October 5, 2021 with bonus shares cum bonus in the regular market and negotiations on September 27, 2021, and a recording date on September 30, 2021.

As of June 30, 2021, SIDO owns 229,778,200 treasury shares with a share value of Rp11.48 billion. The number of shares distributed reached 227,253,602 shares or Rp11.36 billion. The number of shares distributed for bonus shares that are not share dividends is determined based on the nominal value of the shares.

Thus, the basis for determining the price of bonus shares originating from treasury shares is to refer to the nominal value of the company's shares, which is Rp. 50 per share.

Meanwhile, shareholders who are entitled to get bonus shares are shareholders who are registered in the company's shareholder register on September 29, 2021 (recording date) and cum bonus on the same date.
