Mayapada Hospital, Hospital Owned By Conglomerate Dato Tahir Raises Revenue Of IDR 1.02 Trillion And Profit Of IDR 151 Billion In Semester I 2021

JAKARTA - Mayapada Hospital network manager, PT Sejahteraraya Anugrahjaya Tbk recorded a positive performance in the first six months of this year. The revenue and profit of the issuer codenamed SRAJ increased significantly in the first semester of 2021.

The company owned by the conglomerate Dato Sri Tahir earned a revenue of IDR 1.02 trillion in the first semester of 2021. That number shot up 115 percent or around IDR 549 billion compared to revenue in the same period in 2020 which was around IDR 465 billion.

Director of Mayapada Hospital, Arif Mualim, said that the revenue growth was mainly driven by the number of COVID-19 patient visits which increased to 228,796 patient visits in the first semester of 2021. In the first semester of 2020 there were only 177,624 patient visits.

"The increased visits also encourage the company to increase the bed capacity from 415 beds to 613 beds," Arif said in a virtual public expose, Tuesday, August 31.

Meanwhile, the company's direct expenses until the first semester of 2021 increased 80 percent to Rp 607.4 billion compared to the same period in 2020 which was around Rp 341 billion. The increased direct costs occurred in line with the increase in service costs for COVID-19 patients.

However, the company managed to record a gross profit of IDR 417.6 billion in the first semester of 2021. This was because the company's revenue grew drastically until the middle of this year.

As a result, Mayapada Hospital was able to record a net profit of IDR 151.1 billion in the first semester of 2021 from previously recording a net loss of IDR 62.9 billion in the first semester of 2020.
