This Indomie Producer Owned By Conglomerate Anthony Salim Earns Revenue Of IDR 28.2 Trillion In Semester I 2021

JAKARTA - PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (ICBP) posted a brilliant performance in the first six months of this year. This Indomie producer achieved double-digit revenue growth in the first semester of 2021.

In ICBP's financial report published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) website, quoted on Wednesday, August 25, this company owned by conglomerate Anthony Salim posted revenue of IDR 28.2 trillion as of June 2021. That number increased 22.35 percent year on year (yoy) from previously Rp23.05 trillion.

ICBP's cost of goods sold also increased to Rp17.76 trillion from the previous Rp14.72 trillion. However, gross profit still increased to IDR 10.43 trillion in the first semester of 2021 compared to IDR 8.33 trillion in the first semester of 2020.

The profit for the period attributable to owners of ICBP's parent entity reached Rp3.22 trillion as of June 2021. This net profit slightly decreased 4.64 percent yoy from Rp3.38 trillion as of June 2020.

Earnings per share also fell to Rp276 from the previous Rp290. ICBP seems to be putting the brakes on investment, because the net cash used for investment is IDR 1.85 trillion as of June 2021, down from the same period the previous year of IDR 3.64 trillion.

Total cash equivalents reached Rp10.67 trillion, up from Rp8.93 trillion in the first semester of 2020. ICBP's liabilities as of June 2021 rose to Rp54.32 trillion from Rp53.27 trillion at the end of 2020.

In the first semester of 2021, long-term liabilities are IDR 35.36 trillion and short-term liabilities are IDR 18.96 trillion. ICBP's equity increased to Rp53.6 trillion as of June 2021 from Rp50.32 trillion at the end of last year.

Indofood CBP's total assets also reached Rp107.93 trillion at the end of the first semester of 2021, up from Rp103.58 trillion at the end of 2020.
