Luhut Said Nearly 700 Thousand Workers From Hundreds Of Companies Have Implemented Health Protocols, Use The PeduliLindung Application

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said there were 268 companies conducting trials of implementing the COVID-19 health protocol.

"I think the health protocol trials in this industry have all gone," said Luhut, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, August 24.

A total of 268 companies are located on the island of Java with a total workforce of 448,505 people. As many as 69 percent of the total workforce who carried out the trial had received the first dose of COVID vaccination.

Companies on the list and employees are required to use the PeduliLindung application to conduct screening or screening as a step to mitigate the spread of the corona virus.

"Now there are 268, even 165 more, almost 700,000 (labor) all of which are already running," he said.

Luhut explained that the current condition has improved compared to some time ago.

According to him, before the implementation of the emergency community activity restrictions (PPKM), the economic growth rate for the second quarter of 2021 showed improvement.

"I see that July is not as bad as we imagined because the economy rebounded quickly," said Luhut.

Starting August 24, 2021, the government has allowed export-oriented industries to operate 100 percent.

Furthermore, Luhut asked all parties to be careful and not be careless in tackling the COVID-19 pandemic, including in the implementation of health protocol trials in the essential and domestic industrial sectors.

So far, the government has implemented trials of health protocols and the use of the PeduliLindung application as a screening tool to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 in public places and crowds, such as malls, shopping centers, sports venues to industry.
