Menparekraf Sandiaga Talks About Cipali Toll Road, Must Have Impact On Citizens' Economy

JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno revealed that the presence of the Cikopo-Palimanan or Cipali Toll Road will drive the community's economy.

According to Sandiaga, the construction of the Cipali Toll Road is not only limited to infrastructure, but also includes social aspects of the community. The Cipali Toll Road must provide equitable distribution of development and economy for the local community.

"This toll road must present the economic benefits of the local community," said Sandiaga, quoted by Antara, Friday, August 20.

Therefore, continued Sandiaga, when carrying out construction, his party also carried out an assessment of the social environment. The goal is that the toll roads that are built can create business opportunities and job opportunities.

"This is the cooperation of all parties in the implementation and collaboration to restore the economic sector, and at that time we also targeted that many sides of the creative economy would be helped by the presence of infrastructure, especially tourist villages which would become the locomotive of job creation as widely as possible," explained Sandiaga Uno.

"The creative economy will be a source of inclusive development, there will be new creative products that play a role in creating prosperity and economic growth," he added.

Not only limited to infrastructure, the existence of the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road has a direct impact on the economy and social community. The toll road section which is part of the Trans Java Toll Road and was inaugurated in 2015 is considered to have driven the economy and prospered the people.

Through this work ethic, the main goal in the construction of the Cipali Toll Road to the creation of business opportunities and employment opportunities has been achieved.

"We hope that the Cipali toll road will provide a multiplier effect, and after more than six years of operation, there will be opportunities for MSMEs, such as Batik Trusmi, Empal Gentong Haji Aput and Warung Makan Baraya," said Menparekraf.
