Muamalat Supports UGM Vocational School To Print Superior Sharia HR

JAKARTA - PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia through the Muamalat Institute provides support to the Vocational School of Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in preparing superior and competent human resources (HR) in the field of Islamic economics and the financial industry.

MuamaIat Institute Executive Director Anton Hendrianto said that his party would support the implementation of education, training, and professional certification for UGM students who are currently concentrating on Islamic finance.

"The collaboration that was formed is a positive signal to produce a better young generation for the development of the halal ecosystem in Indonesia, which is realized that it has enormous potential," he said in a press statement, Thursday, August 12.

According to Anton, a strong synergy from all stakeholders will be useful in welcoming the demographic bonus period in the next few decades. One thing he emphasized is that efforts to improve HR competence are an absolute must to be able to take advantage of opportunities in the future.

"We have to change, synergize between the world of campus and industry so that together we create a young generation that is superior and competent, especially in the field of Islamic economics and the global financial industry," he said.

On the same occasion, Plt. The Dean of the Vocational School of Gadjah Mada University, Agus Maryono, revealed that the opportunity to share knowledge with Muamalat, as the first sharia institution in Indonesia, was a valuable lesson.

"We hope that this effort to increase productivity can produce superior competitiveness of graduates. I also ask that students in this vocational program can really understand the world of industry, the world of work, and the business world more comprehensively," concluded Agus.

Similarly, Head of the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) Anggito Abimanyu supports this cross-sectoral collaboration. According to him, this strategy will be able to expand public awareness of the importance of the Islamic finance industry as a source of new economic growth.

“This step is a tangible manifestation of the implementation of social responsibility to advance the community, and is not only oriented to profit alone. The formation of the quality of human resources is the key to achieving mutual prosperity," he stressed.
