JAKARTA - The Housing Savings Management Agency or BP Tapera has activated a balance check service for its participants. Especially for former participants of the Housing Savings Administration Agency (Bapertarum) who have switched to the housing savings program at BP Tapera.
The Commissioner of BP Tapera, Adi Setianto said that the transfer of data and fund management of former Bapertarum participants to BP Tapera, was marked by 3.9 million active civil servants who were Bapertarum participants appointed as Tapera participants.
Furthermore, Adi said, the initial balance of Tapera participants is the accumulated contributions of active civil servants while being a Bapertarum participant which is calculated by considering the benefits of assistance that have been received.
From now on, said Adi, Tapera participants who are active civil servants in August 2020 can access the balance check service through the Sitara membership portal https://peserta.tapera.go.id.
"I invite participants to immediately check their balances as well as update their membership data. Updating this data is very important for participants to determine the principles of conventional or sharia fund management, interest in financing, and also bank accounts for disbursement of savings in retirement," he said at the launch event. Check the balance of Tapera participants, Tuesday, August 3rd.
Adi said the initial balance of Tapera participants was managed according to the mandate of PP. 25 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Tapera through KPDT which is effective as of June 14, 2021 with a Net Asset Value (NAV) of Rp1,000.
Furthermore, Adi said NAV will continue to increase in accordance with the results of investment development through safe financial instruments, including government bonds and bank deposits, both conventional and sharia.
To calculate the opening balance and its development, BP Tapera cooperates with actuaries. The method used is a calculation based on the current value of the rupiah (present value). Then, there is a collaboration with PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BRI) and PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI).
BRI acts as a custodian bank and KSEI administers individual participant funds. In the future, KSEI will provide participant fund information services through the AKSes application.
Adi said that the management and utilization of participant funds managed by BP Tapera cooperates with BRI in the form of a Tapera Fund Management Contract (KPDT), which is a cooperation agreement for recording, storing, and administering Tapera funds.
In managing funds through KPDT, the funds belonging to Tapera participants will be recorded in the form of participation units which are proof of ownership of deposit deposits and the results of their development.
"The participation unit will also be recorded in the Investor Fund Unit Account (IFUA) account at KSEI. This mechanism is similar to the management carried out on mutual fund products in the financial industry," he explained.
Furthermore, said Adi, Tapera funds can be used by participants for housing finance and returned as savings at retirement.
Adi said, participants who take advantage of housing finance must meet the requirements for a maximum income of IDR 8 million per month. Then, he has never received housing finance either through Bapertarum or other housing finance programs from the government.
"Financing is used for the first home mortgage, or the construction of the first house on land owned by yourself/spouse, or renovation of a home owned by yourself/spouse. Come on now
take advantage of the Tapera financing program. Together with Tapera, build the first house," he said.
To provide convenience for participants who have retired, the savings and yields will be returned automatically to the bank accounts of participants registered with BP Tapera.
"For Tapera Participants who want to know complete information regarding the procedure for checking balances and calculations, please visit the official BP Tapera website at www.tapera.go.id," he said.
