Taspen Led By Antonius Kosasih In Collaboration With Mitsubishi To Build The Tallest Building In Jakarta

JAKARTA - PT Taspen (Persero) is collaborating with PT Mitsubishi Estate Co and PT Benhil Property to develop the Oasis Central Sudirman superblock. This building will have the concept of a one-stop-service property and will be built on land owned by the Taspen Group, which is located on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Central Jakarta.

SOE Minister Erick Thohir hopes that this collaboration can present world-class properties by carrying the concept of green-energy building. This property will be built in the tallest building in Jakarta.

"I hope that Mitsubishi Estate Co. as one of the largest property developers in the world will be able to make this plan a reality. This also proves that SOEs have the capacity to collaborate with international partners to present world-class businesses and properties in the country," said Erick, in his official statement, quoted Friday 9 July.

Meanwhile, Kosasih feels proud to be working with the largest property development company in Japan. Through this collaboration, it is hoped that it will not only provide benefits for the two companies but also strengthen the role of SOEs.

"As a driver of the Indonesian economy by increasing Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and boosting Indonesia's investment climate through the creation of new jobs, as well as contributing to building a better relationship between Indonesia and Japan," said Kosasih.

The land to be developed is on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman plot 2, in the middle of the heart of Jakarta. The location of the land is very strategic because it is located in the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) area and close to several stations for mass transportation modes such as MRT, Airport Sky Train, KRL, and Busway.

"The land development is through a build-to-handover scheme or Build Operate Transfer which will be managed by the Mitsubishi Estate Co. consortium for 50 years," he added.

This development consists of 2 large-scale buildings, the first building will have 65 floors for Strata Title Condominiums and the second building has 75 floors with use for offices, service apartments and lifestyle retail facilities that will be built in both buildings.

"The entire development will be carried out in one stage, where the work is planned to take place in stages over a period of 8-10 years," concluded Kosasih.
