PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Sends 11, 18 Tons Of Liquid Oxygen To A Hospital In Jakarta

JAKARTA - PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang sent 11.18 tons of liquid oxygen to several hospitals in Jakarta and Bandung to help treat COVID-19 patients in the area.

President Director of PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja, Tri Wahyudi Saleh, said that the current high rate of spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia had an impact on increasing people's needs, one of which was liquid oxygen.

The delivery of CSR (corporate social responsibility) assistance in the form of liquid oxygen is a form of PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja's concern for the current situation in Jakarta and Bandung.

"The provision of oxygen assistance aims to help ease the burden on others affected by COVID-19, where currently the number of cases continues to increase", Tri said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, July 6.

The tank vehicle unit filled with oxygen departed from Palembang on June 30, then arrived at Fatmawati Hospital on Friday, July 2. This oxygen aid was received by the Director of Organizational and General Planning at Fatmawati GK Wirakamboja Hospital.

The oxygen aid was also dispatched to Bandung on Monday, July 5 to be distributed to Immanuel Hospital and partly to Al-Islam Hospital.

This oxygen CSR assistance from PT PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang is a form of SOE's quickstep from the Pupuk Indonesia holding cluster for people in need.

This oxygen is used for the treatment of COVID-19 patients with moderate to severe symptoms, especially patients with oxygen saturations below the established standard.

In addition to producing urea fertilizer, by-products, and other innovative products, PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja also has oxygen which has previously been utilized through certain agents distributed to Palembang hospitals.

"Through this assistance, which is one of PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja's CSR programs, we hope it can be useful, especially for COVID-19 patients, who of course really need oxygen in their treatment", said Tri.

"With the efforts and hopes that are being made at this time, hopefully, this pandemic can end soon and we can all carry out our activities as usual", continued Tri.
