Rupiah Tuesday Morning Slightly Strengthens Against The US Dollar, Japanese Yen And Chinese Yuan Become The Most Hassle

JAKARTA - The rupiah exchange rate on the spot market strengthened slightly in early trading today, Tuesday, July 6. Garuda's currency was opened at the level of Rp. 14,475 per United States (US) dollar.

This made the rupiah strengthened 0.01 percent compared to the close of Monday, July 5 yesterday at the level of Rp14,477 per US dollar.

Based on VOI's monitoring, at 09.00 WIB earlier, currency movements in the region tended to vary. The biggest gainer was the Japanese yen, which rose 0.14 percent.

Next, the Chinese yuan strengthened 0.07 percent and the Singapore dollar rose 0.03 percent. Then the Taiwan dollar which rose 0.02 percent against the US dollar.

Meanwhile, the Philippine peso became the currency with the deepest weakness in Asia after falling 0.35 percent. Followed, the Thai baht which weakened 0.15 percent in trading this morning.

Furthermore, the Hong Kong dollar and South Korean won were both seen losing 0.01 percent against the US dollar. Meanwhile, the Malaysian ringgit looks stable and moves at the same level as the previous day's trading.
