Consumer Credit Still Dominates in Central Kalimantan, Reaching Rp21.95 Trillion

JAKARTA - The Central Kalimantan Financial Services Authority (OJK) stated that households are the economic sector with the largest credit facility users in the local provincial area.

"In May 2026, there are five economic sectors that use the largest credit facilities and households are at the top with Rp. 21.61 trillion or 39.30 percent of total credit," said Head of the Central Kalimantan OJK, Primandanu Febriyan Aziz, as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 27.

Then four other economic sectors, including agriculture, forestry and fisheries with Rp16.48 trillion or 29.98 percent of total credit, and the processing industry with Rp1.26 trillion or 2.30 percent of total credit.

Followed by other service activities of Rp0.98 trillion or 1.80 percent of total credit, and construction of Rp0.87 trillion or 1.58 percent of total credit.

Meanwhile, from the type of credit usage as of May 2026, it consists of consumer credit of Rp. 21.95 trillion or 39.93 percent of total credit, followed by working capital credit of Rp. 19.25 trillion or 35.01 percent of total credit.

"Then followed by investment loans of Rp. 13.78 trillion or 25.06 percent of total loans," he said.

Furthermore, Primandanu explained, on the other hand, if referring to the type of business, the distribution of credit to commercial banks is still dominated by non-SME credit, namely IDR 36.48 trillion or 66.35 percent of the total credit distribution.

This achievement was followed by micro credit of Rp9.30 trillion or 16.91 percent of total credit disbursement, small credit of Rp5.83 trillion or 10.61 percent of total credit disbursement, and medium credit of Rp3.37 trillion or 6.13 percent of total credit disbursement.

In general, continued Primandanu, this condition together with other indicators both from the perspective of the development of the general banking sector, the capital market and others shows that the stability of the financial services sector (SJK) in Central Kalimantan in the second quarter of 2026 is still well maintained.
