PGN Area Bogor Meets the Needs of Asphalt Producers of Natural Gas, Supports Environmentally Friendly Manufacturing Industry

JAKARTA - PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk (PGN) as a Subholding of Pertamina Gas continues to expand the utilization of energy, both natural gas to the industrial sector to encourage the competitiveness of national products. Through the Bogor Area, this commitment is strengthened by the distribution of natural gas to meet the energy needs of one of the leading asphalt producers, namely PT Varas Ratubadis Prambanan which is located in Citeureup, Bogor.

The distribution of natural gas marks the strategic step of both parties in the use of cleaner, reliable, and efficient energy to support the manufacturing sector, especially the supporting industry for highway infrastructure.

PGN is ready to distribute natural gas with a planned volume of 2,500 MMBtu to meet the main fuel needs in the asphalt production process. The use of natural gas is projected to provide energy cost efficiency for customers while helping to reduce carbon emissions in the production process.

Mula Prasetyawan Senja as the Area Head of PGN Bogor, said that this good collaboration is expected to strengthen the foundation for sustainable business growth for both parties.

"Through the utilization of PGN's natural gas, we hope that PT Varas Ratubadis Prambanan's energy needs can be met reliably, efficiently, and safely. PGN is committed to continue to accompany the growth of the industry through the provision of infrastructure and natural gas supply, in order to support the smooth running of the plant's productivity," said Mula, in his statement, Friday, July 17.

With the addition of new customers in this industrial sector, PGN Bogor Area has proven its consistency in expanding the reach of the use of natural gas in West Java. PGN hopes that this synergy can also trigger other industrial players in the Bogor area and its surroundings to switch to more environmentally friendly natural gas energy.

"Hopefully, the synergy between PGN and industrial actors that has been established can continue to grow stronger, especially to provide economic benefits and make a real contribution to the community," concluded Mula.
