JEC Wins Omnichannel Marketing Award, Education for Strabismus Leads to 29 Percent Increase in Medical Actions

JAKARTA - JEC Eye Hospitals & Clinics won the Marketeers OMNI Brands of the Year 2026 award in the Impactful Omnichannel Social Campaign category through the eye health education campaign titled "Strabismus: From Stigma to Confidence".

The award is an acknowledgment of JEC's success in integrating various communication channels to increase public awareness of strabismus or crossed eyes, a condition that is still often misunderstood as a purely aesthetic problem.

Director of Development & Education of JEC Group, Prof. Dr. Tjahjono D. Gondhowiardjo, SpM(K), PhD said education was the key to encouraging people to carry out early detection and obtain proper treatment.

"Through this campaign, we want to invite the public to understand that squint is a medical condition that needs to be checked early so that the chances of success in treatment are more optimal," said Tjahjono.

JEC noted that the ongoing education campaign also had an impact on increasing public awareness.

This is reflected in the increase in strabismus treatment actions by 29 percent in 2025 compared to the previous year.

The campaign is carried out through an omnichannel approach that includes social media, digital education, health seminars, radio talkshows, podcasts, media publications, to free screening and strabismus surgery programs.

According to JEC, increasing awareness is an important factor in opening the need for eye health services, which had previously been held back due to social stigma and a lack of public understanding.

Currently, JEC operates 16 branches in various regions of Indonesia and continues to expand its services, including through the development of JEC BALI @ Sanur in the Sanur Special Economic Zone (KEK) which carries the Blue Hospital concept with the support of modern medical technology and the principle of sustainability.
