WIKA Receives New Contracts of IDR 2.53 Trillion until Q1-2026

JAKARTA - PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) recorded a new contract value of IDR 2.53 trillion in the first quarter of 2026.

The composition of WIKA's new contracts in the period was dominated by the construction support industry sector, especially the precast industry of IDR 909.26 billion.

Then, followed by the infrastructure and building sectors, as well as contributions from the manufacturing, property and investment sectors. The new contract revenue comes from government (APBN) and private projects.

WIKA President Director Agung Budi Waskito said that the acquisition of new contracts showed that confidence in WIKA in carrying out strategic projects was maintained.

"We will continue to focus on quality projects and provide added value while supporting the achievement of the government's Astacita for the community," he said as quoted from a written statement, Tuesday, May 5.

In the new contract for the I-2026 quarter, WIKA is also entrusted to work on the Sibolga-Padang Sidempuan National Road project worth Rp. 205.69 billion.

The project aims to improve the quality of the national road network and facilitate the mobility of goods and people in the Sumatra region.

Until now, the progress of handling the emergency section has reached about 7 percent, with the main focus on restoring access so that traffic can be safely passed again.

"The target for the completion of emergency handling is planned for December 2026, taking into account weather conditions and slope stability at the location," he said.

WIKA's main scope of work in the project includes several crucial works. Among them, the replacement of Garoga 2 Bridge, handling the upper slope at Goa Jepang, and handling Garoga 3 Box.

Meanwhile, the work that has been carried out includes cleaning landslide material, repairing and strengthening slopes at several points, piling and strengthening the road body, installing emergency signs to temporary drainage repairs.

"Currently, the ongoing work includes slope stabilization with soil nailing methods, construction of a temporary road (detour), preparation for the installation of a bailey bridge, and normalization of the drainage channel," said Agung.

In its implementation, the project faced a number of challenges, such as high rainfall that could potentially trigger a landslide, limited access to mobilization due to terrain conditions, and limited material and budget sources.

To overcome this, the company is implementing acceleration methods, such as quick response, slope reinforcement (bronjong, DPT, soil nailing and shotcrete), the use of granular materials for quick stability and the use of steel truss bridges to accelerate the restoration of access at critical points.

In addition, in March 2026, WIKA was also entrusted to carry out the Tukka River rehabilitation project worth IDR 109.46 billion with a contract period until December 31, 2026.

His work includes controlling the infrastructure of the Tukka River, building sabodam and controlling the sediment of the Tukka River (Sigala-Gala River).

Agung said that the construction of the sabodam was functional as a sediment and debris containment and control, and was equipped with the construction of a retaining wall to protect the river banks from the flow of water.

"In the future, we will continue to develop a selective project portfolio, strengthen synergies between business lines and encourage innovation to maintain sustainable growth and high competitiveness," he concluded.
