SURABAYA - The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance has recorded that there are still around 3.7 million Annual Notification Letters (SPT) that have not been reported until mid-April 2026.

Director of Extension, Services, and Public Relations of the DJP, Inge Diana Rismawanti, said that currently, his party continues to increase services so that the target of receiving 15 million SPT can be achieved before the April deadline.

He said that the number of tax returns that have been received is currently in the range of 11.2 million to 11.3 million.

"In total, it's actually good enough. Today it has entered around 11.2 million to 11.3 million SPT. This means that there are still about 3.7 million more in the remaining time. Hopefully it can be achieved," he said in a Media Gathering of the Ministry of Finance, Thursday, April 16.

The figure includes the Personal Income Tax (WP) report of individuals whose reporting period has been extended until the end of April, as well as the WP of the Agency which also has a reporting deadline in the same month.

The DJP estimates that there will be a significant increase ahead of the deadline, given that on March 31, a record daily reporting of 405 thousand SPT was recorded.

Although the current achievement is considered quite positive, Inge emphasized that DJP will still tighten supervision and the main priority at this time is to provide services to taxpayers who comply with reporting on time, but enforcement steps will still be carried out for those who do not fulfill their obligations.

"Now friends are focusing on being able to serve those (taxpayers) who report on time. For those who do not report on time, this is what we will pursue later," he said.

Overall, the DJP targets a total of 19 million SPT reports by the end of December 2026. Taxpayers are urged to submit reports immediately before the April deadline to avoid potential technical problems due to the surge in system access in the last days.

Overall, the DJP aims for a total reporting of the tax return to reach 19 million by the end of December 2026. Taxpayers are also urged to report immediately before the end of April to avoid technical problems due to the surge in system access on the last day.

"So around 19 million SPT should be entered by the end of the year. We hope that those who will enter on time mean that by the time the SPT reporting deadline ends, it will be around 15 million," he said.
