JAKARTA - The work on developing railway infrastructure at Bogor Station officially begins tomorrow, Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

This project includes the extension of lines 6, 7, and 8 to support the operation of the KRL series with 12 (SF12) formation.

VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter Karina Amanda said that during the construction period which lasted about 90 days, the three lines would be temporarily closed for passenger boarding and disembarking services.

"During the work period starting tomorrow, April 15, 2026, users of the Bogor Commuter Line who get on and off will only be served on platform 2-3 and platform 4-5," Karina said in an official statement, Tuesday, April 14.

To support passenger mobility, KAI Commuter has prepared additional facilities in the form of a passageway and a temporary rail crossing.

This facility will facilitate user access from the west entrance, especially from the direction of Jalan Kapten Muslihat to the platform of lines 2, 3, 4 and 5.

In addition, the tap in and tap out access arrangements in the west hall will be carried out on a situational basis, especially during rush hours.

Meanwhile, users from the south can use the JPO Bogor Paledang Station to go to the departure platform.

During the construction process, KAI Commuter also adjusted the travel schedule. A total of 31 Commuter Line Bogor trips were recorded to have changed time.

"There is an adjustment of 31 departure and arrival schedules for the Bogor Commuter Line during 2-3 minutes from the previous schedule. Meanwhile, other departures have not changed," said Karina.

The development of this line was carried out in response to the increasing passenger volume at Bogor Station, which is one of the busiest stations in the Jabodetabek area.

Every day, this station serves around 98,000 to 100,000 users, both for Commuter Line and Pangrango train services.

KAI Commuter apologized for the inconvenience during the construction process.

As well as ensuring that all work is carried out by prioritizing the aspects of safety and security of users.

"We urge users to adjust the flow of travel and follow the instructions of officers and information available at the station," concluded Karina.
