JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) ensures that the national electricity system until March 2026 is recorded in normal condition, with sufficient power reserves to support community needs.
PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo revealed that as of March 2026, net capacity was recorded at 71 gigawatt (GW) and a reserve margin of 39 percent.
"So that the national electricity supply is in a reliable condition, and this is very important to support the continuity of economic growth and also the needs of the community," he said in a Public Hearing with Commission XII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Monday, April 13.
Meanwhile, the Gas Reserve Operation Day (HOP) for the plant was recorded at around 12 days.
"This means that in general the delivery of LNG is scheduled and in general there are no obstacles," continued Darmawan.
He added that until April 2026, the operating days of the plant for national coal stocks were maintained at around 15.9 operating days.
Darmawan said this reflected the safe coal supply condition.
"For this reason, we also appreciate the support from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources so that the coal HOP trend continues to show an increase, and this is of course in order to strengthen the reliability of the national electricity supply," he explained.
Based on PLN data, the electricity capacity in Java, Madura, and Bali was recorded at 49 GW with a reserve margin of 39.2 percent.
Meanwhile, the capacity in Sumatra-Bangka reached 11.9 GW with a reserve margin of 38.2 percent.
