JAKARTA - The State-Owned Enterprises Management Agency (BP BUMN) is preparing land owned by state-owned enterprises in five major cities from Jakarta to Makassar to support the 3 million house program. This step is carried out as part of the optimization of state assets to provide decent housing for the community.
Head of BP BUMN, Dony Oskaria, said that his party was currently mapping the details of the land to be used, in accordance with the needs of the Ministry of Housing and Settlements (PKP).
"We are mapping the number according to the request from the Minister of PKP (Marurar Sirait). It is also being done in five major cities. Insyaallah hopefully next week we will hand it over to the Minister," said Dony after visiting the Rusunawa Cinta Kasih Tzu Chi in West Jakarta, Sunday, April 5.
Also present during the visit were the Minister of Housing and Settlements, Maruarar Sirait; Deputy Chairman of the Tzu Chi Buddhist Foundation Indonesia, Sugianto Kusuma alias Aguan; Acting President Director of Perumnas, Imelda Alini Pohan; and President Director of KAI, Bobby Rasyidin.
Dony said that the five cities that were the initial priority included Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Medan, and Makassar. In addition, the government will also expand the mapping to other cities.
"This is the first five, then later there will be Semarang that we will arrange as well," he said.
In Jakarta, a number of locations that are being prepared include Manggarai, Jakarta City, Senen, to Tanah Abang. The majority of the land is owned by PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), while the land in the Senen area is owned by PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia.
Not only in the city center, the government also prioritizes the development of housing in the buffer areas of the capital such as Bogor, Tangerang, and Banten. This effort is expected to be able to answer the housing needs of the community in urban areas and their surroundings which continue to increase.
"We are benchmarking, of course, several models that we hope we can provide for the public in accordance with the program from the Ministry of Housing and Settlements, as well as the program from President Prabowo," said Dony.
In its development, continued Dony, the government will adopt the concept of integrated housing as applied in Rusunawa Cinta Kasih Tzu Chi, the result of collaboration between Perum Perumnas and the Tzu Chi Indonesia Buddhist Foundation.
Dony said that to build such a Rusunawa, it is estimated that it will require around 5 hectares (ha) of land. Because, the housing model not only provides a place to live, but also equipped with various supporting facilities such as schools, hospitals, playgrounds, houses of worship, to business areas for MSMEs.
"This is an example of a model that we will apply in the future for the development and construction of residential homes in order to meet the government's program for 3 million homes for the Indonesian people," said Dony.
