JAKARTA - PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk or PGN has again held the PGN Free Homecoming Program 2026 as a form of the company's concern in supporting the smooth flow of the 1447 Hijriah Eid homecoming. The release of the pilgrims was carried out at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Jakarta, Friday, March 13, with the aim of various cities on the island of Java.
This program is part of the national initiative of Free BUMN Homecoming 2026 following the directions and support of Danantara, BP BUMN, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and the Pertamina Group, including PGN as a Gas Subholding. Through the provision of organized mass transportation, PGN strives to provide a safer, more comfortable, and orderly homecoming journey for the community.
PGN President Director, Arief Kurnia Risdianto, said that the free homecoming was part of the company's efforts to provide wider benefits from the energy business it runs. For this reason, in addition to ensuring that energy supply remains reliable during the Lebaran period, PGN is also committed to providing social impact for the community through various initiatives that support mobility, travel safety, and community welfare in various regions through the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
"In line with the spirit of Pertamina Energizing Indonesia, PGN is committed to providing energy that not only drives national economic growth, but also provides tangible benefits for the community," said Arief.
In this year's program, PGN has prepared around 21 bus fleets with a capacity of 40 - 45 passengers each. The fleet serves 12 travel routes to various cities in West Java, Central Java, the Special Region of Yogyakarta, to East Java. Some of the routes include Jakarta-Tasikmalaya, Jakarta-Yogyakarta, Jakarta-Jepara, Jakarta-Wonogiri, Jakarta-Klaten, Jakarta-Surabaya, and Jakarta-Madiun.
In addition to the release at TMII, on March 17, the departure of travelers will also be carried out from a number of other points, namely in the Gelora Bung Karno area and with Pertamina at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) office, as part of a cross-BUMN collaboration in the implementation of the homecoming program together.
To ensure that the journey is safe and orderly, all departure processes are equipped with operational supervision in the field, ramp check for Bus Vehicles and 51 Bus crew who have passed the health check, and safety briefing for participants before departure.
Not only providing transportation, PGN also presents various supporting activities at the departure location, such as light entertainment, games, PGN Homecoming Story story wall, to mobile photobooth. The presence of these activities is expected to provide a more memorable homecoming experience for participants before starting the journey.
Through the PGN Free Homecoming Program 2026, the company hopes to contribute to reducing traffic density during the Lebaran period while reducing the risk of accidents on the highway.
"Tourism is not just a trip back home, but also an important momentum to strengthen family relationships and togetherness. This initiative is also part of PGN's ongoing commitment to grow together with the community and strengthen the company's social responsibility values," concluded Arief.
