PT Saka Energi Indonesia (SAKA) targets an estimated net production of 24,000 BOEPD as part of a strategy to maintain production continuity and strengthen its contribution to energy security.
This target is an increase of around 10.4 percent compared to the previous year, reflecting the company's optimism regarding the potential for production growth and overall asset operational performance.
"This achievement will be driven by field optimization, implementation of new production well drilling programs, workover activities on existing wells, as well as increasing the reliability and efficiency of operations consistently and measurably," said SAKA President Director, Intan Fauzi, Monday, March 9.
SAKA also carried out drilling of the UPA-17ST development well at WK Pangkah at the end of 2025 which has now been successfully onstream with positive production results, namely around 2,430 BOPD of oil and 2.3 MMSCFD of gas.
In the drilling aspect in 2025, SAKA managed to realize three development wells and two workover activities, surpassing the initial plan that had been set.
In the Pangkah Working Area (WK), this achievement also encouraged the realization of oil production which reached 113 percent above the Company's Work Plan and Budget (RKAP) target. This success was supported by various initiatives to increase operational efficiency and reliability, including the success of drilling the SID-5 development well which contributed significantly to the increase in production.
In addition to encouraging production increases, SAKA also continues to strengthen its asset portfolio through exploration activities. The company has carried out geophysical and geotechnical surveys on one of the exploration assets, namely WK Pekawai, as a supporting activity for site preparation for drilling activities.
The drilling of exploration wells will further open up opportunities for the addition of potential oil and gas resources and maintain long-term production continuity, as well as strengthen the company's asset portfolio.
"Through the optimization of production and exploration activities, we hope that this effort can maintain the Company's sustainable growth while making a real contribution to national energy independence," added Intan.
