ACEH TAMIANG - A total of 600 units of Hunian Danantara (Huntara) were officially handed over by Danantara Indonesia to residents affected by the disaster located in Kampung Simpang Empat, Karang Baru District, Aceh Tamiang. The housing was handed over to the Aceh Tamiang Regency Government (Pemkab), Thursday, January 8 by Danantara Managing Director Rohan Hafas and witnessed by Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya and a number of other BUMN officials.
This is a tangible proof of collaboration between SOEs and the Government in efforts to accelerate recovery, in which BRI also supports in terms of financing and meeting logistical needs.
Rohan Hafas said that with the handover ceremony, the community has started to occupy Huntara which has also been equipped with various services and facilities. All Huntara are built according to the standard of emergency housing eligibility, including a safe structure, access to clean water, sanitation facilities, electricity supply, and health service support. The residential area is also equipped with public facilities such as clinics, playgrounds, and internet and electricity access without charge to support community social activities.
The construction of the first phase of Huntara is the result of collaboration between SOEs under the coordination of Danantara Indonesia and the BUMN Peduli umbrella program. On the financing and logistics needs fulfillment side, BRI, Mandiri, BNI, BTN, and BSI also deployed resources to accelerate recovery and ensure that the development process continues.
BRI Corporate Secretary Dhanny revealed that BRI's contribution to the development of Huntara is part of BRI's real commitment to supporting post-disaster recovery. BRI continues to support the efforts of the government and SOEs in helping to accelerate the recovery and rehabilitation of communities in disaster-affected areas.
"Hopefully, people affected by the disaster can occupy Huntara comfortably and safely. Hopefully, this Huntara will be an important bridge to the permanent housing phase and the recovery of the community's economy," said Dhanny.
Until January 9, 2026, the BRI Group itself has carried out 60 emergency response actions in various regions of Sumatra with the support of 10 disaster post units.
