GIAR Encourages Accounting Profession Rules

JAKARTA - The implementation of the Grand Launching of KAP GIAR (Public Accountant Office Gunawan Ikhwan Abdurahman and Partners) today revealed an optimistic fact behind the implementation of PP Number 43 of 2025. Instead of being seen as an administrative challenge, this new regulation is actually considered to open the door to a very wide career opportunity for the younger generation, especially Gen-Z, to enter the world of professional accounting based on technology and transparency.

They agreed that the transformation of financial reporting towards a one-gate system requires new competencies that are very aligned with the characteristics of Gen-Z: Digital Native, Adaptive, and High-Level Transparency, and Integrity.

The government through this regulation requires higher reporting standards for various business sectors, which automatically increases the demand (demand) for qualified public accountants. The future of accountants is now seen as more promising because their role is becoming increasingly vital as guardians of the integrity of the national economy.

The presence of a one-door system ensures that the work of accountants is widely appreciated by various state institutions at once, increasing the existence and dignity of the profession in the eyes of the public.

With the enactment of PP Number 43 of 2025 and the realization of One-Door Financial Reporting, the burden of responsibility of Public Accountants (AP) is now in the spotlight across agencies in real time. Mr. Mohamad Mahsun as Chairman of the Indonesian Forensic Accounting Study Center (PUSAKAFI) reminded practitioners not to be tempted by offers or rewards that are outside the legal corridor.

"The integrity of a public accountant is a priority. We are the gatekeepers of public trust. I appeal to all professional colleagues, never be tempted by offers that promise immediate profits but crash into the rules that have been set by the Government. Once integrity is betrayed, then the career and trust in this profession will collapse systematically," said Mr. Mohamad Mahsun.

Maintaining the Profoundness of the Profession in the New Era

As a speaker in the field of Forensic Audit, Mr. Mohamad Mahsun added that the new regulation through PP 43/2025 is not present to limit the scope of action, but to protect accountants who work honestly. With a one-stop system, every data anomaly will be easier to detect, so that professional honesty becomes the best protection for an accountant.

Mr. Mohamad Mahsun also appreciated KAP GIAR for choosing to launch its entity with a spirit of compliance and innovation. He hopes that KAP GIAR can become an example of an accounting firm that dares to say "no" to practices that violate the code of ethics in order to maintain the sustainability of the national economy.
