JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that the number of foreign tourist arrivals (wisman) through Bali experienced a significant decline in November 2025.

BPS Distribution and Services Statistics Deputy, Pudji Ismartini, revealed that the number of foreign visitors through I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport was recorded at 476,507 visits or a decrease of 19.89 percent compared to October 2025 which reached 594,846 visits.

According to him, this monthly decline in visits is mainly due to the reduction of tourists from several major contributing countries.

"There has been a decrease in the number of Wisman visits through Nurah Rai airport on a monthly basis due to a decrease in Wisman from Australia, India, and China," he said in a press conference, Monday, January 5.

He explained that so far, Australia has been the country with the largest contribution to the number of tourists entering through Ngurah Rai Airport, so that changes in the number of visits from Australia greatly affect the total flow of tourists to Bali.

Pudji said that although there was a decrease compared to the previous month, the performance of inbound visits on an annual basis still showed growth.

BPS noted that in November 2025, the number of tourist visits increased by 0.80 percent compared to November 2024.

Cumulatively from January to November 2025, the total number of foreign tourist visits through Ngurah Rai Airport reached 6.35 million visits, or an increase of 10.22 percent compared to the same period last year.
