JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) recorded that as of November 30, 2025, the government recorded revenue from the digital economy business sector of IDR 44.55 trillion.

Director of Extension, Services, and Public Relations Rosmauli said the amount came from the collection of Value Added Tax (PPN) Trade Through Electronic System (PMSE) of Rp34.54 trillion, tax on crypto assets of Rp1.81 trillion, tax on fintech (peer-to-peer lending) Rp4.27 trillion, and taxes collected by other parties through the Government Procurement Information System (Tax SIPP) Rp3.94 trillion.

"Until November 2025, the government has appointed 254 companies as PPN PMSE collectors," he said in a statement, Monday, December 29.

He said that in that month, there were three new appointments, namely the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation, Bespin Global, and OpenAI OpCo, LLC, and at the same time, the government also carried out one revocation of the PPN PMSE collector data, namely Amazon Services Europe S.a.r.l.

Rosmauli explained that as of November 30, 2025, out of all the collectors who had been appointed, 215 PMSE had collected and deposited the PMSE VAT with a total of Rp. 34.54 trillion.

He added that the amount consisted of a deposit of IDR 731.4 billion in 2020, IDR 3.9 trillion in 2021, IDR 5.51 trillion in 2022, IDR 6.76 trillion in 2023, IDR 8.44 trillion in 2024, and IDR 9.19 trillion until 2025.

Meanwhile, the collection of crypto taxes has amounted to IDR 1.81 trillion as of November 2025.

Rosmauli added that the revenue came from Rp246.45 billion in 2022, Rp220.83 billion in 2023, Rp620.4 billion in 2024, and Rp719.61 billion in 2025.

"The receipt of cryptocurrency taxes consists of PPh 22 of IDR 932.06 billion and PPN DN of IDR 875.23 billion," he said.

Rosmauli said that fintech taxes have also contributed to tax revenue of IDR 4.27 trillion as of November 2025.

The revenue from fintech taxes comes from Rp446.39 billion in 2022, Rp1.11 trillion in 2023, Rp1.48 trillion in 2024, and Rp1.24 trillion in 2025.

According to him, the fintech tax consists of PPh 23 on loan interest received by WPDN and BUT of IDR 1.17 trillion, PPh 26 on loan interest received by WPLN of IDR 724.5 billion, and PPN DN on term deposits of IDR 2.37 trillion.

Rosmauli said that the tax revenue from other digital economic activities came from the SIPP tax revenue.

Until November 2025, he continued, the revenue from the SIPP tax was IDR 3.94 trillion.

The revenue from the SIPP tax comes from Rp402.38 billion in 2022, Rp1.12 trillion in 2023, Rp1.33 trillion in 2024, and Rp1.09 trillion in 2025.

Rosmauli explained that the SIPP tax revenue consisted of PPh Article 22 of IDR 284.42 billion and VAT of IDR 3.65 trillion.

"The realization of digital tax revenue of IDR 44.55 trillion reflects the increasing contribution of the digital economy to state revenues," he said.

He added that the appointment of the PPN PMSE collector at companies engaged in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) shows that the digital economy is increasingly providing real benefits to the community, especially in supporting state revenues.
