JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) which is headed by Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita conveyed a number of performance achievements throughout 2025.

Citing information shared on the official @kemenperin_ri Instagram account, Tuesday, December 23, 2025, the industry confidence index alias IKI showed positive achievement in the I-2025 quarter.

"The industrial confidence index improved in the 100 days of the Red and White Cabinet thanks to the pro-industry policies and policies that strengthened the performance of national manufacturing," wrote the Instagram account.

Then, the policy of the Fixed Natural Gas Price (HGBT) which continues this year to ensure business certainty and competitiveness and strengthen Indonesia's appeal as an investment destination.

"The benefits of HGBT are felt by one of the industrial sectors. Ceramic industry production increased, ranking 4th largest producer of ceramics in the world in 2024," he said.

Not only that, the Ministry of Industry said that the national tax revenue during the 2020-2024 period increased by 49 percent throughout 2024.

The Ministry of Industry has also approved Apple's innovation investment plan for 2025-2028 and signed a memorandum of understanding or MoU regarding Apple's investment commitment for the period 2023-2029. The investment period 2020-2023 Apple has completed a commitment or obligation of 10 million US dollars.

The MoU also includes a number of activity commitments from Apple, namely the establishment of the Apple Software Innovation and Technology Institute.

Then, the establishment of the Apple Professional Developer Academy and the sustainability of the Apple Academy program.

"It has been agreed based on the calculation that has been regulated in the Minister of Industry Regulation (Permenperin) No. 29/2017 that Apple will also bring hard cash of 160 million US dollars," he explained.

Apple also established a research and development (R&D) center as part of its investment commitment with the Ministry of Industry for the period 2023-2029.

"At the same time, as part of the innovation investment scheme to obtain the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) certificate for its products," explained the Ministry of Industry.

This year, the Ministry of Industry also collaborated with Toyota Indonesia to hold the Beyond Carbon Neutrality (CN) Mobility Event. The collaboration between the Ministry of Industry and Toyota Indonesia is a driver towards AIGIS 2025, which is a key momentum in encouraging green industry transformation.

"Its innovations include multiple-pathway technology, biofuels and flexy fuels, as well as the development of hybrid vehicles, battery electric to hydrogen fuel cells," he said.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Industry also carried out the regulation of the Minyakita supply chain. According to the Ministry of Industry, action against factories and distributors is an important step to regulate the Minyakita supply chain so that it is sold in accordance with the rules of packaging and the highest retail price (HET).

"This effort ensures that cooking oil remains affordable and safe, quality and nutritious," he added.

In addition, the Ministry of Industry also carried out the 2025 National Industrial Area National Gathering. The industrial area is believed to play an important role in accelerating economic growth, in line with President Prabowo Subianto's vision to lift Indonesia out of the middle income trap.

"A total of 168 industrial areas are now operating and in the next five years it is targeted to become a new growth center integrated with downstream industries and high technology," he added.
