According to Henra, cooperatives as business entities need to encourage business practices with business partners, banks, and financial institutions, which require the Tax Identification Number (NPWP) issued by the DJP as an administrative eligibility test, official identity eligibility in the confirmation of the tax subject of legal entities.
In order to encourage the fulfillment of NPWP ownership, the legal standing obstacles of cooperatives in carrying out business activities can be overcome through NPWP ownership which is the official tax identity for cooperatives as cooperative legal entities.
"Ownership of NPWP is a form of compliance with the provisions of laws and regulations in the field of taxation and confirms the position of cooperatives as a tax subject of the body," added Henra.
One of the forms of cooperation that has been agreed upon is the exchange and utilization of data and information in the administration of NPWP, so that it is expected to support around 80,000 Red and White Village/Subdistrict Cooperatives in obtaining NPWP.
Henra added that this activity in the future is encouraged by the dissemination of literacy and education related to the registration of cooperatives as tax subjects by prioritizing understanding of business development and escalation of the Red and White Kopdes business can be synergized with the Unit of the Directorate General of Taxation, Ministry of Finance.
Through this PKS, it is hoped that the NPWP data of the Red and White Kopdes can be integrated with the Simkopdes platform application of the Ministry of Cooperatives, so that public service convenience for NPWP data can become a government support for overall economic development.
