InJourney Airports Passenger Movement Projection Reaches 10.5 Million People in the Nataru Period

JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia or InJourney Airports projects that the number of passenger movements will reach 10.5 million people at 37 airports managed by it during the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 (Nataru) holidays.

For information, this figure increased by 4.1 percent compared to the previous year's Nataru period which recorded 10.1 million passengers.

InJourney Airports President Director Mohammad Rizal Pahlevi revealed that all airports under the management of InJourney Airports are ready to anticipate an increase in passenger movements during the Nataru holiday.

"In this Nataru period, the number of aircraft passengers at all InJourney Airports is projected to be 10.5 million passengers or an increase of 4.1 percent," he said in a press conference at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Wednesday, December 17.

Rizal Pahlevi said that this year's Nataru transportation period will take place from December 15, 2025 to January 4, 2026. Where the peak of flight traffic before Christmas is estimated to occur on December 20 and 21, 2025, with a projection of around 590,000 passengers per day.

Meanwhile, Rizal said the peak of flight traffic after New Year 2026 is estimated to occur on January 3 to 4, 2026.

The number of passengers is estimated to reach 560,000 people on January 3, 2026 and 522,000 people on January 4, 2026.

Rizal said that of the 37 airports managed by InJourney Airports, Soekarno-Hatta Airport will still be the busiest of all time during Nataru. Where the number of passengers at this airport is projected to reach around 3 million people or an increase of 3.3 percent compared to the previous year.

"To be honest, Soekarno-Hatta in the weekend period does fluctuate in passengers from 2 to 3 percent on weekdays. So, to be honest, we don't really force an increase in capacity. Our capacity today is more capable of serving the number of passengers and flight traffic that exists," said Rizal.

Then, continued Rizal, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali became one of the main holiday destinations.

The airport is projected to serve 1.36 million passengers during the Nataru period.

The number increased by 13.3 percent compared to the previous period.

"One of the factors that drives the increase in passengers at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport is the international route which continues to grow since the beginning of 2025," he said.
