JAKARTA - Trade Minister Budi Santoso revealed that the Trade Minister Regulation (Permendag) Number 43 of 2025 concerning Palm Oil Cooking Oil Packaging and People's Cooking Oil Management is effective 14 days after it was enacted.

Separately, the Director General of Domestic Trade (PDN) Iqbal Shoffan Shofwan explained that the Minyakita rules would apply before the New Year 2026.
"Before the new year it has been applied (Permendag Number 43 of 2025)," said Iqbal.
Furthermore, Iqbal said that through Permendag 43/2025, the distribution of Minyakita will be distributed by at least 35 percent by the Food SOEs, namely Perum Bulog and ID FOOD.

In addition to strengthening the role of SOEs as distributors, Permendag Number 43 of 2025 has strengthened the regulation of prioritizing the distribution of Minyakita in the people's market. The focus is on strengthening the people's market as the main distribution channel.
