"We understand that the local government is certainly having difficulties, so we will simplify and practically make the conditions for the canal to be more automatic," he said.
Furthermore, he added that the Ministry of Finance also paid attention to local governments that still have loans from the National Economic Recovery Program (PEN), especially those used for infrastructure development.

According to Suahasil, the results of the assessment will determine the level of damage to infrastructure due to disasters, such as floods and landslides, if the infrastructure can still be functional, the government will consider the option of restructuring loans.
However, he added that if the infrastructure was severely damaged to the point that it could no longer be used, the Ministry of Finance opened the possibility of simplifying the loan scheme, including the option of eliminating obligations.
"If it can't be used, we will find ways to simplify it, even to bleaching. If it is really destroyed because of yesterday's natural disaster," he explained.
He added that in its implementation, the policy for assessing and handling PEN loans will involve PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (PT SMI) as the financing manager.
According to him, the assessment will be carried out with good governance to ensure the level of damage to infrastructure financed from the PEN loan.
